Dress Like a Style Icon – The Little Black Dress

The little black dress is the epitome of chic, don’t you think? The colour black is timeless and never goes out of fashion.  And, regardless of whether you are gamine shaped or curvacious, tall or short, there is a little black dress out there to fit you and suit your style and the image you want to portray, whether that be a conservative missy Grace, sexy siren Lois, cool sophisticate Elizabeth or avante garde Rhianna (you can substitute the names and images -I just made them up).
Although originally made famous in the 1920’s by fashion designer Coco Chanel, the little black dress (LBD) will be forever associated with Audrey Hepburn and the one she wore in her role as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This dress, designed by Givenchy, was sold at auction by Christie’s in London in December 2006 for £467,200 (around $800,000)!

Don’t have that sort of money available right now?  never mind.  For *£62.70 ($102) check out indie designer McQuin’s homage to who she has termed “the most beautiful actress of all times”.  This dress (see images below) aptly named ‘At Tiffany’s’ is made to order and to the measurements you specify.  The fabric used is a comfortable, soft glace viscose.
